In 2011 DISCS supported Professor Alison McGregor, one of the UK's leading researchers into the causes of back pain.

In order to continue her research Professor McGregor proposes to test the hypothesis that lower back pain arises from an imbalance of active and passive control of the spine and it's interactions with the lower limb.

THIS RESEARCH IS OF VITAL IMPORTANCE. The study requires half-funding of a PhD student at the cost of £37,500. Discs have pledged £20,000 but are appealing to you to help them find a further £17,500 by May 2012.
